If you've been following me on Instagram or in my newsletter, you know that I'm not married to Regency romance. I love it, of course. Historical romances are easily some of my favorite romantic content to consume as a reader, and I've loved creating it. But, a good romantic comedy was my launching point into romance.

I've been working on a new series of contemporary romances set in the fictional town of Austen, Ohio. Yes, Austen as in Jane Austen. Because even though I love romantic comedies, I'm still an avid Austen fan. These books are both funny (hence the comedy part), but also still filled with the drama and trauma you've come to expect from me.

That's not to say that I won't be releasing a historical romance this year. I'm planning to expand my freebie, Annalise Auclair, into a full novel which I plan to release by the end of the summer.
